Ingredients

3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. regular sugar
1/2 c. softened margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
In large bowl, beat the brown sugar, sugar, margarine and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and egg; beat well.
Lightly spoon flour into mixture. Stir chocolate chips and nuts into mixture, then spoon onto cookie sheet.
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
