Gingersnaps(Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream together first 4 ingredients until fluffy.
    Sift together dry ingredients; stir into molasses mixture.
    Form in small balls.
    Roll in granulated sugar; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) about ten minutes.
    Cool slightly and remove from pan.
    Makes about 5 dozen.
