Caramel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter and sugar over low heat.
    Beat in egg.
    Add flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts.
    Bake in 9-inch square pan (greased) at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Cut in squares while still warm.
    Leave in pan to cool.
    Cookies will be soft to touch when ready to remove from oven.
