Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. regular oats, uncooked
2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. rice cereal
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar gradually, beating well at medium speed with electric mixer.
Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.
Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove to wire rack and cool.
Yields 6 dozen.
