Honey Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. honey
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Beat egg, shortening and honey in bowl.
Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk and buttermilk just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins and pecans.
Spoon into pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until it tests done.
If browning too fast, cover with foil.
Remove bread from pan to rack and slice when thoroughly cool.
May be frozen.
