Gueogan Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. Steens syrup
    1 c. coffee, brewed
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together; set aside.
    In mixing bowl add hot coffee to butter, sugar and syrup, then add dry ingredients and mix only until mixture is turned well.
    Bake in well-greased and heated cast-iron skillets (two 8-inch) at 325\u00b0 about 25 minutes or until bread springs back to touch.
    Turn immediately to cake plate and butter bottom layer and add top layer.
