Ingredients

3/4 c. melted shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Mix ingredients together. Scoop by teaspoon and roll into balls; dip in sugar. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
