Homemade Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
3 pkg. yeast
5 to 6 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. Crisco shortening
1 to 1 1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
Preparation

Mix warm water, sugar and yeast.
Let stand 5 minutes. Add Crisco, milk and 5 cups flour.
If needed, use 1 cup flour to roll out.
Mix all ingredients. Roll out on floured board until smooth. Cut or form with hand and place on greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown. Do not let rise in oven. Store in plastic bag in refrigerator.
