Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. orange juice or milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Beat sugar, shortening and eggs until creamy.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt thoroughly. Stir into egg mixture alternately with liquid and vanilla.
Stir nuts into last portion of flour mixture before blending it into batter.
Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until no batter clings to toothpick inserted in center of loaf. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
