1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

In small saucepan, melt 1 cup of the chocolate over low heat; cool.
In small mixing bowl, cream together sugar and butter; add egg and vanilla.
Beat well.
Blend in melted chocolate. Thoroughly stir together flour, salt and baking powder.
Add to creamed mixture; mix well.
Stir in nuts and remaining chocolate pieces.
Drop dough from a teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 30 cookies.
