Heath Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light Karo syrup
    1 c. broken pecans
    3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
Preparation
    Put the first 4 ingredients in heavy medium size pan.
    Bring to boil; cook until sugar melts over medium heat,.
    Turn heat up slightly; let boil until mixture turns golden brown.
    Do not burn. Boil for about 5 minutes.
    Pour into prepared pan (I use cake pan, foiled lined and buttered well).
    Use wooden spoon.
    Top with melted chocolate bits.
    Cool; break up like brittle.
