Easy Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
    3/8 c. sweetened condensed milk
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat chocolate and milk over low heat, stirring, until chocolate is melted; remove from heat and add vanilla and salt. Stir in nuts; spread in buttered 8 x 4-inch pan.
    Chill until firm, then cut into 18 squares.
    I usually double recipe and spread in 8-inch square pan.
