South Carolina Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 eggs
    1 pt. milk
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat milk in double boiler.
    Stir in cornmeal and cook slowly until thick and smooth.
    Remove from heat and add butter and salt. Let cool while beating egg whites stiff.
    Beat egg yolks and add to cornmeal mixture, then fold in egg whites and bake 30 minutes in a buttered pan at 325\u00b0 to 375\u00b0.
