Carrot Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. carrots, cooked and mashed
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with carrots.
    Add lemon and vanilla extracts.
    Stir in nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Frost with Orange Frosting.
    Yield:
    3 dozen.
