Raisin Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar, beating well.
Mix in egg. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, soda, salt and spices.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in applesauce and lemon rind.
Dredge the raisins and pecans in 1/2 cup flour.
Stir to coat well.
Fold into batter.
