Velma'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. warm water (not hot)
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. dry powdered milk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 rounded tsp. salt
    3 c. more flour
Preparation
    Combine first four ingredients.
    Stir well to dissolve.
    Add 2 1/2 cups flour and stir well.
    Add shortening and salt.
    Place 1/2 to 1 cup of flour on board and knead 100 times, working flour in. Let rise until double in size (about 2 hours).
    Make into 2 large loaves or three medium loaves or rolls or alligators (cinnamon, nuts, etc.).
