Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. grated coconut
1/2 c. finely chopped dates
1/2 c. raisins
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in remaining ingredients and chill for 1 hour.
Shape into 1-inch balls, then flatten them on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Makes about 3 dozen.
