Butter-Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. self-rising flour
    pecans, halved
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream margarine and sugar; blend in egg.
    Stir together with flour until creamy.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Form into 1-inch balls.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Flatten in one direction with fork tines.
    Top each with a pecan half.
    Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 4 dozen.
