Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    4 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    6 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Melt butter; add sugar and beaten eggs.
    Add flour which has been sifted with soda and cream of tartar.
    Add nuts and shape into rolls; let stand overnight in refrigerator.
    Slice thin and bake in moderate oven, 350\u00b0 until brown.
    Dough keeps well; it can be frozen and used several days later.
    (This was one of our girl's favorite cookies.)
