Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream margarine, oil and sugars.
Beat in eggs and add vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Stir until well blended.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Form into balls.
Roll in sugar, if desired.
Place on cookie sheet and lightly flatten.
Bake for 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Dough will keep for a week in the refrigerator.
