Irish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 pt. sour cream
1 c. raisins
1/4 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Add egg and beat.
Add dry ingredients; mix thoroughly.
Fold in sour cream, raisins and caraway seed.
Put in a greased pie pan (9-inch).
Make a cross on top of bread or 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
