Nova Scotia Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    3 c. flour
    3 c. rolled quick oats
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. cold water
    3/4 c. ground nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar and cream.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Add water and nuts.
    Roll out on floured board. Cut in squares and bake on cookie sheet at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Makes approximately 90 squares.
