Ingredients

3 c. brown sugar
1 c. melted butter or margarine
1/2 c. hot water
1 lb. pecans, cut
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix butter and sugar real good.
Add water and pecans.
Mix well.
Sift dry ingredients and add slowly while stirring. Sometimes I add a little more water or flour to make a real firm roll.
Wrap in waxed paper and place in refrigerator.
When dough is hard, slice thin cookies and bake as desired at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
