Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. melted shortening
    1 c. dark molasses
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    6 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. ginger
    4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix melted fat, molasses and sugar until smooth, then add the sour milk and mix.
    Add lemon extract.
    Add the sifted dry ingredients and mix to a stiff dough.
    Chill.
    Roll out on floured board.
    Cut as desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
