Chinese Almond Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Mix all together.
    Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Top each with a sliver of almond.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
