Herb Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rolled oats
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/2 c. molasses or sorghum
    4 c. white or bread flour
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/2 tsp. dried parsley
    2 tsp. dried savory
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    2 c. whole wheat flour
Preparation
    Place rolled oats, margarine, salt and boiling water in a bowl.
    In the meantime, soften yeast in water with the 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
    When water mixture has cooled to
    a warm temperature, add yeast.
    Add the whole wheat flour; add 2 cups of the white or bread flour.
    Mix.
    Add 2 more cups of white flour. Knead until smooth (5 to 10 minutes).
    Place in greased bowl. Cover.
    Allow to rise in warm place until about double in size. Punch down and turn over.
    Let rise another 30 minutes.
    Shape into 2 or 3 loaves.
    Let rise again until about double in size, about 45 minutes to one hour.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes or at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Bread is done when loaves sound hollow when tapped on top with fingers.
