Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine or butter
2 eggs
grated skin of 1 lemon
juice of 1 lemon
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Blend in lemon rind.
Mix dry ingredients; add slowly to creamed mixture. Alternate with milk.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
Mix lemon juice and sugar. Pour over bread as soon as it is out of oven.
Use a knife to loosen sides of bread from pan first.
Leave in pan for 15 minutes.
