Ingredients

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Cream shortening, sugar and egg.
Add dry ingredients, nuts and pineapple.
Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
