Portuguese Country Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. unbleached white flour
Preparation
    In large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add salt and flour 1 cup at a time.
    Mix with hands.
    When no longer sticky turn dough out onto a floured surface.
    Knead for 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
    Punch down and knead for 5 to 8 minutes.
    Form into oval loaf and place on greased cookie sheet.
    Let rise again for about 45 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
