Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 3/4 c. plaint flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Put dry ingredients into creamed mixture.
    Stir in oats, raisins and coconut.
    Drop from a teaspoon on greased cookie sheets.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) about 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Remove from pan.
    Makes about 60.
