Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. softened butter
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
glazed cherries
Preparation

Beat all but flour and cocoa; add last slowly.
Roll into ball (1 to 2 teaspoons dough); fill with half a glazed cherry. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes; cool.
Spoon melted chocolate chips over center.
Let stand to harden.
Makes 45 cookies.
