Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 lb. dates
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. broken pecan meats
Preparation

Mix batter ingredients.
Pour over diced fruits and nuts; mix. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 10 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
Cool on rack, then store in tight container several days (a week or more).
This batter is so stiff I mix the fruit and nuts in with more of a kneading than a mixing motion.
