Swedish Heirloom Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (half butter for flavor)
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. almonds, ground
    2 c. sifted Pillsbury Best enriched flour
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter; add gradually confectioners sugar.
    Add salt, creaming well.
    Add almonds.
    Blend in flour gradually; mix thoroughly.
    Add water and vanilla; mix thoroughly with fork.
    Shape into balls or crescent rolls one even tablespoon of dough for each cookie.
    Place on ungreased baking sheets flattened slightly.
    Bake in moderate 325\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm.
    Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
