Christmas Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 cups plain flour
    2 cups milk
    1 tsp. salt
    2 packets yeast
    1 cup sugar
    4 eggs
    1 lb. butter flavored shortening
    1/2 lb. fruit mix
Preparation
    Scald milk and add sugar and salt.
    When luke warm add dry yeast and 2 cups flour.
    Beat well and let rise for 45 minutes. Mix eggs and shortening and add to yeast mixture.
    Add remaining flour and fruit.
    Knead and let rise.
    Knead again and put into loaves and let rise again.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
