Peachy Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1/4 c. buttermilk or sour cream
1 can peaches
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/4 c. maraschino cherries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and set aside.
Cream together sugar and Crisco.
Beat eggs in with sugar and Crisco.
Stir in buttermilk/sour cream and peaches (mashed and drained).
Then add the ingredients that were first set aside.
Mix until moistened.
Fold in orange rind, cut up cherries and nuts.
Turn batter into loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
