Medallion Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 2/3 c. cake flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening; add sugar gradually creaming well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Add vanilla. Add flour alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
    Chill 3 to 4 hours or overnight. Roll out very thin (less than 1/8 inch) on lightly floured surface. Cut with floured 3 inch cutter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake on ungreased sheets in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 5 to 8 minutes or until done.
    Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
