Stuckey Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    4 c. milk
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Mix milk and butter in saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Add meal, salt and sugar and stir until thick. Set aside and let cool, then add the egg yolks.
    Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the other mixture.
    Pour into a baking dish and bake about 45 to 50 minutes, until browned, at 375\u00b0.
    Serve immediately.
