Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla (add after fruit mixture)
4 slices candied pineapple
1/4 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. dates
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. pecans
1 lb. walnuts
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and salt; add 1 1/2 cups flour. Use one cup flour on nuts and fruit, then add to mixture with vanilla.
Mix well; roll into balls and bake 15 or 18 minutes on cookie sheets in a 325\u00b0 oven.
