Molasses Sugar Cookies(Gingersnaps) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt shortening.
    Cool.
    Add sugar, molasses and egg.
    Beat well.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Mix well and chill.
    Roll into 1-inch balls.
    Press with granulated sugar on a glass.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
