Banana Tea Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. mashed bananas (3 ripe)
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and salt.
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, well beaten.
    Then add flour mix alternately with bananas, a small amount at a time.
    Beat after each addition until smooth.
    Bake in greased 8 1/2 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pan at 250\u00b0 about 45 minutes.
    Cool before slicing.
    Yields 2 loaves.
