Pennsylvania Dutch Light Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo, softened
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and vinegar. Blend in remaining ingredients.(If dough is too dry to handle easily, work in milk or cream, 1 tsp. at a time.)
    Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured cloth covered board.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 6-8 minutes.
    Cool slightly before removing from sheet.
    If desired, decorate with icing.
