24-Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 can early peas, drained
    1 1/2 c. cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    8 strips bacon, crumbled
Preparation
    In
    bowl,
    put
    lettuce as first layer, followed by the layer of
    onion,
    bell
    pepper, peas and cheese.
    Do not stir. Seal with
    mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle
    sugar on top, then sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
    Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
