Cherry Wink Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1/3 c. maraschino cherries

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients; mix well.
Add nuts and dates.
Dip one tablespoon cookie dough and shape into ball.
Top each cookie with cherries cut into fourths.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Do not store or stack until cold.
