Ingredients

1 lb. dates
2 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sugar
8 oz. candied cherries
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft oleo
1 egg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Chop fruit and nuts and combine.
Mix dry ingredients over fruit.
Cream the oleo and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and mix.
Slowly add flour/fruit mixture to blend. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until light brown.
