Country Fair Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 beaten eggs
about 9 c. flour, sifted
Preparation

Pour scalded milk over butter or margarine, salt and sugar; cool.
Dissolve yeast according to package instructions.
Add yeast and eggs to cooled milk mixture in large mixing bowl.
Add flour gradually mixing well.
Use only as much flour as necessary for a light, tender dough.
Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
Place in greased bowl; cover and let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down; turn onto floured surface.
Shape into 3 loaves.
Place in 8-inch loaf pans. Cover and let rise until dough tops pans.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes; lower heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 40 minutes.
