Sopaipillas(Mexican Bread - Dessert) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 rounded Tbsp. Crisco
3/4 c. water
pan of oil
powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix all ingredients except water.
Blend well.
Add water. Mix and roll very thin!
Cut into 2-inch squares which are then cut into triangles.
Quick fry in very hot oil (as you would doughnuts).
Under proper conditions, the sopaipillas will \"puff\" or rise immediately.
Fry only until light golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Best hot.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
