Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 sticks butter or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Using a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, place brown sugar and butter in pan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
As the mixture cools, add one egg at a time and stir well.
Sift the flour and measure 1 cup.
To the flour, add salt and baking powder.
Stir into mixture and mix well.
Add pecans and stir.
Using a 9 x 13-inch pan, spray with Pam or Baker's Joy. Pour mixture in pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
After cool, cut into squares.
