Ingredients

2 2/3 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped pecans
1 box chopped dates
1 stick margarine, melted
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla
coconut flakes
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine Rice Krispies and pecans.
In a heavy saucepan, combine dates, margarine, sugar, egg and salt.
Bring to a boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Pour over Rice Krispies and nuts.
Stir to coat.
When it gets just cool enough to form balls, roll with hands into balls and place on waxed paper.
Roll in coconut.
