Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    2 beaten egg whites
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1/2 c. broken walnuts
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add the beaten egg yolks. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add water to the mashed bananas and mix well. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the banana mixture to the first mixture. Add nuts. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done. Test with toothpick.
