Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 c. fresh or dry packed blueberries, rinsed and drained
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream shortening until soft and gradually beat in sugar.
Add eggs and lemon rind. Beat until well mixed.
Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating smooth after each addition.
Slightly fold in blueberries. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
